Pure nostalgia – a classic Mac emulator you can play in your browser

Simulation of the classic Apple Macintosh that you can play in your browser

Do you remember the first time you saw an Apple computer?

In 1992, when I was still studying, I started working in a Warsaw office of the international media company. All computers there were Macs, not only the ones for graphic designers but also office staff.

I was asked to take the desk with Macintosh SE on it. And I still remember that moment when I started the computer for the first time.

You can bring this great feeling back. James Friend has created a web project that simulates operating systems of classic computers. He ported to the web a PCE emulator developed by Hampa Hug. Thanks you that you can use Safari, Chrome, or Firefox browser to open and play with the environment classic Mac we’re working on.

Check out the main Apple Macintosh simulation, featuring Apple System 7.0.1, with MacPaint and MacDraw. From here, you can also open System 6 (with games), as well as Oregon Trail and Dark Castle.
